Claws tops the charts in the Horror Genre
Sojka's first two novels, Payback Jack and Politikill reached #1 in various thriller categories. His third novel, 39, became his most awarded effort, picking up awards in Literary, Southern Fiction and Humor. Now his fourth novel Claws reached #1 within a week of release.
Sojka says, "Claws takes on a tough subject, human trafficking. A topic people don't want to look at face to face. For generations authors have used allegory to get their point across, when a topic proved too tough to digest head on. That's why I chose to write outside of my genre. The need was too great not to attack, and my usual genre, thrillers, does not offer a big enough tent to attack it. Poe proved horror's effectiveness as an allegorical tool."
Sojka's plot once again drives his characters through southeast Texas and his former hometown of Silsbee. "I am so grateful for my hometown. As a child I told my mother I would bring a professional baseball team to Silsbee one day. While that dream cannot come true, I can bring positive attention to my old hometown, as my way of saying thanks to the people who poured into me. Maybe this book going to #1 can be my apology for not pulling off the baseball team."
You can buy Claws on Kindle, Hardback, Paperback or even on Audible.
